I got home on the 16th, for my checkup, and they found tumors, two or three. So I am straying home both to isolate myself and so I’m available the instant the find out the day for my surgery. Cancer happens to be among the treatment that’s considered critical, so I’m toward the top of the list. The surgeon’s assistant, who is the person I always speak with unless I’m on the operating table, expects it to be early in January.

I will be spending at least one night in the hospital, which means a catheter <shudder> After that it’ll be two weeks of recuperation, and then a six-week treatment. So I’m looking at being on the road early March.

While I am home, I will be writing Monday to Friday. For those who read my stories, you should expect to get two chapters a day, possible three. I’m working on two 3.5 hours sessions. One in the morning, and one in the afternoon. I will probably stream the morning one on Picarto: https://picarto.tv/KindarWrites and the afternoon session on Twitch https://www.twitch.tv/kindar11. I will do my best to send a Twitter message with the address before I start Streaming. https://twitter.com/TheTigerWrites

That covers the future. Earlier this week, I had my laptop repaired— the keys on the keyboard were getting loose. I’d lost one already and two more threatened to bounce out of the keyboard regularly. I also ask that they change the battery since it’s old and after looking online for the proper steps to do it myself, I discovered you need an engineering diplomat to do it.

I expected it to be a simple thing, keyboard, and battery.

It took 6 hours.

The technician had to remove absolutely everything to get to the keyboard, and once it was reassembled, it wouldn’t start. They ended up calling their boss to assist them, and with help it still took 2 more hours. Making it so the regular user can’t to the repairs themselves in one thing, but arranging it even their approved technician have trouble, is another level of not particularly brightness.

It's warranty is going to end in a few months, so that isn’t something I’ll have to worry about, because I have a new laptop on the way. My current one will become my main Home computer at the treadmill.

Right; exercises.

As those who know me will expect— I’m looking at you mom— I over did it during my first week. I thought I was being smart about it. I was going to do 30 minutes of exercise, then stand at the treadmill for the rest of the writing session, then do another 30 minutes at the start of the other session, and remain standing until I was done.

After three day of that my legs could barely support me. So now it’s 45 minutes and an hour of standing, then I move to my desk and do my writing sitting down. I will aim to walk longer after my recuperation, but I will not go past 2 hours even if I reach it. Once I’m home writing fulltime, then I’ll consider training myself for day long walks.

Oh, one last thing, for those who are still reading. I’m slowly cleaning up the daily chapter files on Patreon to eliminate there being 1 different copy per support tier. So that anything that reach the public tier will be the only file there. For the file isn’t going to be public, then that will happen once it is sent to the 1$ supporters..

I don’t promise I will clean up all that older files, but going forward, my patreon would be a little more ordered.

And that’s it for now, so I’ll see you on the next one.
