Keeping up with our brainy queue of lost games waiting to be remembered, we added 3 cancelled games in the Unseen64 archive:

Sleeping Giants [Xbox 360, PS3, PC]: In March 2005 Warren Spector officially announced his new company: Junction Point Studios. They conceived various original games to pitch to different publishers. One of these pitches was titled “Sleeping Giants”, an ambitious open world RPG in the vein of The Elder Scrolls: SKYRIM, set in a fantasy universe originally proposed for DC Comics by Spector and his wife: https://www.unseen64.net/2020/03/27/sleeping-giants-junction-point-studios-cancelled/

Eagle Summoner [Nintendo Wii + DS]:a cancelled puzzle – RPG hybrid similar to Puzzle Quest, that was in development by Sensory Sweep Studios around 2008. Following Puzzle Quest’s progression, in Eagle Summoner players would move their character around the world while encountering enemies to fight in puzzle-battles to gain experience and acquire treasures: https://www.unseen64.net/2020/03/26/eagle-summoner-wii-ds-cancelled/

Xevious 3D Reboot [PS2]:around 2002 Namco wanted to reboot their Xevious series of shoot ‘em up, by creating a new 3D Xevious for Playstation 2. The team hired for this mission was Project Aces, the same people behind Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies and the following Ace Combat games. You can imagine this would have been the perfect team to develop a new Xevious, thanks to their great 3D engine and experience with Ace Combat: https://www.unseen64.net/2020/03/25/xevious-3d-ps2-cancelled/
