Keeping up with our random queue of lost games waiting to be remembered, this week we added 3 cancelled games in the Unseen64 archive:

Sofa Kingdom [PC]: a cancelled arcade racing game that was in development by Angel Studios (the modern Rockstar San Diego) around 1998, planned to be published by Microsoft for PC.  This is another forgotten project that was never officially announced and only a series of concept art remain today to remember its existence. By looking at these, we can speculate it was going to be a city-based racing game, a concept that could have later been somehow reused into their cult-title Midtown Madness: https://www.unseen64.net/2019/05/02/sofa-kingdom-cancelled/

Star Wars Fighting Game [Xbox]: Studio Gigante was a small team established in 2000 by several former developers of Midway’s popular Mortal Kombat fighting game series. They were able to sign a contract with Microsoft to develop an exclusive “Mortal Kombat Killer” titled Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus. Unfortunately the game received mixed reviews and in 2005 the studio closed down, after releasing their second Xbox exclusive for THQ: WWE WrestleMania 21: https://www.unseen64.net/2019/05/02/cancelled-star-wars-fighting-game/

Demon Hunter [GBA]: a cancelled action RPG in the vein of Diablo, that was in development for Game Boy Advance by Independent Arts Software in 2002. The team planned 8 huge areas to explore, each one divided into several procedurally generated sub-levels so you had a different layout every time you would play: https://www.unseen64.net/2019/05/03/demon-hunter-gba-cancelled/
