The Sean and Ellie stuff this episode was mostly annoying because they JUST started dating. Of course Ellie isn’t going to completely have it figured it out how much time she wants to spend with her friends vs. her boyfriend and I understand her wanting to prioritize her relationship with Marco. Sean just made it insufferable, like, just ask her to spend time alone? Not to mention that the movie theater thing was a double date to begin with, with Sean’s friends. Bringing Marco along isn’t outrageous lol I believe we saw Terri’s father in season 1 when Terri got drunk before the dance.

I know there are fans that don't like Sean or Sean and Elle together but in High School almost everyone dated someone that either wasn't good for them or was good for them. For Elle I think this is her first real relationship since with Marco it was fake, and she doesn't know how to split her time. Page is someone that knows how to split up her time as well as how to include everyone. Ashley always becomes about her romantic relationship unless she gets bored. With Sean he is a product of his time, his environment and misinformation. Can I excuse his comments no, but every character has the opportunity to change and grow on this show. We all know Sean is a self-sabotager and in his mind he is where he is supposed to be.

To be fair, Paige is literally dating Spinner, who is VIOLENTLY homophobic and bullied Marco, despite having a gay BROTHER. With Ellie and Sean, at least Sean is more just...subtle homophobic, which doesn't make it better but Marco is the one who encouraged her to go back. I still love Sean and Ellie, despite hating Sean, but that's just cause they're cute together to me and it's the only time i like his character.

Also, i wonder if Spinner saying he's just like him is maybe referring to how he acted with Marco and how aggressive he was with him, righting he's a fag in the bathroom. That's all i can think of.

i never fully forgave sean for stealing simpson's laptop, so i totally get your frustration with his character at this point and not wanting ellie to date him. however, we've already seen how degrassi has likable characters do despicable things or despicable characters have moments of redemption. so im curious to see if your opinion of sean will change over time. also, regarding terri's reason for going back to rick. i don't think it's as severe as "there must be something deeply wrong with her or something happening at home". i think its really just that she is insecure (we saw the complex she had about her body in seasons 1 and 2), never had a boyfriend, and as a result was very lonely and sought out attention and validation in the wrong place. i think the explanation for her dating rick is really that simple unfortunately.
