Instant star is weird to me because I watched The N every morning before school to watch reruns of Just Jordan, Unfabulous, Moesha, Sabrina, etc and I never remember seeing any ads for this show. This was before I started watching Degrassi, but I remembered seeing ads for that all the time and apparently Instant Star was one of their other huge shows on the channel at the time. When I started watching Degrassi and found out the creators made other shows (this and The LA Complex), I was so confused but I never went back and watched them.

Yeah, I do not think you'll love this show. First, yes, they do rush the first episode A LOT. It feels disjointed and like they push certain things too hard. Also, this show was done awhile ago when things were different culturally. It's a teen girl's wish fantasy fulfilled in a show. Become a popular musician and all that. I think you will have MAJOR issues with some of the plot points. This is just a fake TV show, so they do thinks for that fantasy purpose that we wouldn't love IRL. I think it's fine in a show, but I'm think you'll have a big issue with it Steven. Actually multiple plot points...

i've never heard of this show before but i'm hooked from this first episode! i haven't finished it yet but i have a feeling where some plots may go and i wish they'd have made her character college instead of high school for those reasons but the writing seems good and the characters are interesting!

I'm so excited! The concept is great and the music is amazing. Yes they're short episodes and short seasons and the teen drama is sometimes over the top. I love this show though. I've seen Alexz Johnson live a few times she's so talented and she wrote a lot of her own songs for this and they are pretty fire. Youtube does have the show if you want links but it's not the greatest quality. Your face when she tried to kiss Tommy was hilarious. It's definitely awkward and inappropriate when she's 15 and I'm glad he told her that. This should be fun! Who was watching Wynnona Earp on this channel? You might recognize Tommy from that.
