This episode was devastating because it is so early on in the series and there is no way you think that one of the lead characters will die especially since it's just a trio group at this moment. For the first 9 episodes of the season, Doyle was also my favorite of the trio so the way he went out was heroic but sad to watch. We got the good with Doyle/Cordy FINALLY and then it ended as soon as it begun.
