I don't want to spoil nothing but I think you have to keep going until season 6 at least

well if you want a good point to leave the flash I‘d say after the next crossover (crisis on infinite earths) is probably a good place to stop. that would be right after the midseason finale and a really good point in the show to leave it be.

I’ll agree with everyone else about needing to see the next crossover. It has more Clark and Lois so you would want to watch it before starting Superman and Lois which I’m all for. This version of Clark appeared in a couple episodes of Supergirl but hasn’t had much character development.
