haven't watched this show since back when it came out, so i cant say if it gets better or not, but i do remember the greatness of "sonny with a chance" being Chad Dylan Cooper. Sterling Knight really carries both this show and the movie you were mentioning that people want you to watch "Starstruck"

Yeah I do think the earlier episodes of the show are a bit rough and I agree that Zora (the weird girl) is just a bad character. However, this is one of my favorite Disney shows mostly because of Chad Dylan Cooper, he has a lot of great lines

Torn. I think the show gets better but that could be nostalgia. I KNOW the dynamic between Sonny and Chad gets even better and I think he would enjoy it, I also know Zora is always annoying so there's like a 50/50 chance that this becomes a really enjoyable show for him, but I don't really want him to suffer to get to that point, so idk if this would ever be worth him taking on 😬🤔

i do think the show gets a bit better, though its for sure still cringy a lot throughout the whole run. but chad is like one of the greatest disney channel characters so he carries the whole thing
