Hi Steven. You missed the observer on this one and it was a real gimmie. He was right at the Frankfurt airport when Olivia first arrived in Germany. Fringe is such a good show. So many twists, truly terrifying villains - and this is just the beginning of the rabbit hole. That guy Olivia was about to sleep with, Lucas. That actor was in Twilight playing Bella's father. (just one of his roles). David Robert Jones is played by Jared Harris. The man just chews up whatever scene he's in. He starred in many shows including Mad Men and Chernobyl. Fun fact: David Robert Jones is the real given name of singer David Bowie. Loved this episode and it is very important going forward, I'm kinda sad you didn't enjoy it as much as we did. But you are still at the beginning, warming up to this show. I am looking forward to see you more invested in the characters and interweaving storylines as this show moves forward.

Also on an unrelated note, who put vote as 6-7 for this episode? Clearly someone who never actually watched this episode or this show before...

Remember, Olivia was stuck in Frankfurt overnight before she could talk to Jones in the morning. Might as well let an old friend cook you dinner, it probably beats room service at the hotel. I too am sometimes puzzled by how they act as if a flight to Europe takes no time. A flight from Boston to Frankfurt is about 7 hours. It's possible she has access to a special government flight that can leave immediately and get there faster; that's probably our best hypothesis (though the "airport" scenes made it look like she flew commercial).

I don’t think that’s what happened. They just didn’t have time to show us Olivia on the plane. But 7h is not that long in the grand scheme. It was probably an overnight flight.
