This episode was better than I remembered. Ashley usually gets on my LAST nerves, but I’m glad she was nice to my girl Liberty in the end. I do agree with you that Liberty could at least do it one time a week. How else would she be ready to take over next year? I like that we get a Jimmy-focused episode! He’s definitely my favorite male character and one of my favorite people period to follow. It’s clear that he’s a smart, well-adjusted dude and a skilled basketball player, but I like that he struggled to manage both of them. And we saw even more of the Spinner/Jimmy friendship. Spinner may be an ass, but at the end of the day, he’s willing to help a friend out, which I always thought was nice idk

Pretty solid episode along with the last one. Compared to the last few I feel like these 2 have been far more interesting/entertaining for me. We are still in the s1 phase of filler "kid" type storylines, but overall they are still decent as they deal with more "adult" topics along the way with it. Like you said, it all feels very real which is the joy about this show. Honestly I really don't remember most of these storylines from S1. When I think of the show I think of S2+ and you will see what we mean once you finish S1 as the filler storylines fade away overtime. I'm hoping we get 2 reactions more often as you have also stated watching this show feels very short, but the overall length of the entire show is very long . There's for sure some cringe in this show, some intentional sometimes it's not and sometimes it's just funny. Drake is still good friends with Shane (Spinner) in real life as well as most of the cast members. And he even did a "Degrassi Reunion" for his Music Video "I'm Upset" back in 2018. For Context: 7th Grade (12-13) Emma, Manny, Toby, J.T., Liberty, Sean (held back) 8th Grade (13-14) Jimmy, Ashley, Terri, Paige, Spinner Each season represents a grade, that will change in the far future to semester seasons, so in S2 they will all move up a grade. Obviously we are going to get some new characters along the way and some very interesting and likable ones, and you might dislike certain specific characters now, but once the major storylines start happening for everyone you might change your opinions on some

I'm so confused on liberty here...and i dont agree with the idea "i wrote it so i should say it". Like, you're the WRITER. When you see the news, they aren't doing the writing. It's different reciting the announcements. There's a reason writers aren't speaking on TV. You need perfect speech, delivery and tone. Ashley isn't my favorite character, but i am on her side here, which is rare. She's just doing her job. Also, funny how in the other episode, when Emma was late, she got mad. But she was late here and now gets all defensive? Hmmm. Also, i'm confused. Usually a teacher was in charge of giving positions for announcements at my school. I assume they just acted like they didnt here for the conflict.

Also, im shocked they let a 14 year old boy take pills on his own anyways. My friend also had to take pills and they would send him to the nurse, cause it's risky like showed here. I do love the show gives consequences though, even if it's unfair sometimes.

I think Ashley as the President reads the announcements and Liberty as the secretary writes them. I agree that I was on Ashley’s side here, but she was being unnecessarily rude to Liberty imo. Also, to be fair, her classmates hyped her up and gave her bad advice. Liberty probably wouldn’t have even asked to be on air if it weren’t for Manny/Emma.
