The woman who plays Nanny Carrie was also on The Vampire Diaries (she played the doctor Meredith who Alaric dated) and Spencer's sister Melissa on Pretty Little Liars. She was also a main character on Chicago Med.

I love that you enjoy season 6, it is a very good season. Especially Brooke has a ton of GREAT story material.

Yay season 6! Such an amazing opener.

I've been waiting for this season!!! So excited glad you loved it!!

Oh, two other things. First, in regards to you mentioning there was no part 2 to the name of this episode, if no one has mentioned it before or if you didn't see it before, each episode is titled after the name of a song. OTH is/was a very music inspired show. Second, I was not surprised he chose Peyton but was pissed that Lindsey finally came around and wanted him back and THAT'S when he choose to go to Peyton. Lindsey was going to let him go to Peyton but he still wanted Lindsey, so then she finally wants him back and he says no. That just pissed me off. But overall glad they are together to get it over with.

SEASON 6 IS THE BEST SEASON

J

Season 6 is arguably one of the strongest seasons for the adult years of OTH. For me this is Brooke's season, they threw a ton of story at Sophia this season and she kills it. Again, I am sharing your thoughts on the Peyton and Lucas of it all. Just happy that it's here and done with so we don't have to keep watching their endless melodrama.

I remember back then it was seen as a really big cliffhanger (mostly bc Lucas is super indecisive and impulsive) but from today's perspective they set too many out of character things up to fit the finale cliffhanger. Lindsay's call even though they just had closure, Brooke's totally platonic friendship atp made "romantic" last minute and making it seem like Lucas only had to choose, taking the agency completely away from these women. I like how they resolved it this episode with the three anniversary scenarios and Peyton saying he's a mess (accurate) and that stranger laughing it off that Lucas "made the right choice". It makes me happy that Peyton is finally happy and Stephen is right, this is so much better than their moping around last season.

I love season 6, but my fave era is 7-9 tbh. Still, this season is FAR stronger than last! Also, the ONLY thing good about Lucas choosing Peyton is that this will-they-won't-they-cry-cry-pine-pine shit of season 5 is DONE.

J

Agreed!! So curious to see how he feels about seasons 7-9

Rebeccaf87

I agree that it was out of place and annoyed that it was all Lucas' choice. However I did like with the anniversary scenarios it showed why the others wouldn't work. Brooke and he would be too busy for each other. He and Lindsay was "too easy" meaning I guess he'd be bored. And then the Peyton scenario felt like real life and right.

I Am Not Chamari

Listen... even in the fake scenarios, Lucas and Peyton felt the most connected and grounded. I don't know why you thought the Peyton one was out of character. I think all three scenarios clearly showed why the other couples won't work. Lucas and Brooke were disconnected and always busy plus they never got to see Jamie. Not to mention that putting Lucas back with Brooke would have ruined a lot of her character development imo. Brooke was at her worst when she was with Lucas. Lucas and Lindsey were too easy, which was kind of an insult tbh. He would be with Lindsey "because he could." Peyton and Lucas' scenario was by far the best one. And although I loved the angst of those two in Season 5, I get wanting to move past that. I'm ready to see these two happy!!

It was SUPER weird that they added Brooke into the mix. I liked the way their relationship has evolved into an actual friendship. I thought it was sweet and much, much healthier than the romantic relationship they'd had. There was no love angle with them at all in season 5 so I don't know why they felt the need for Brooke to be part of the cliffhanger and for her to be an "option" for Luke this episode. As if we're meant to believe this mess of a man is so in demand that two women aren't enough? We gotta add a third? Sir, no. Please leave my Brooke Davis alone. She deserves better. I ADORE Brooke so I don't want her to end up with Luke. He was never good to her as a boyfriend. Was really glad they didn't go that route. They throw a HELL of a lot in Brooke's direction this season and it's all done so well. I can't wait for her storylines here. It's all so interesting. Probably the best part of season 6. It's interesting that you said the Peyton dream didn't seem like the real Peyton. All 3 dreams were what Luke thought his life 1 year on with each woman would look like. It's crazy that the woman he's supposedly madly in love with sounds the least like her in real life. Makes you think if he has an idealised version of her in his head (wouldn't put it past him) or if he just doesn't know her well enough after all this time apart. It still makes me peeved to think of Luke just strutting around thinking "yeah, I'll go eenie, meeny, miny, moe and see which girl I've 'always known' was the right one for me". Was a HUGE Luke/Peyton shipper when this aired and the way they wrote the story felt like Peyton was Luke’s 2nd choice and made me so sad. I fully believe they added in Lindsey's phone call to Luke to tell him the "real" reason she walked out on him at the altar was because she was scared of his love (??) just so Leyton shippers would be justified in saying "yeah, see, it's not because he had no other choice but Peyton. Lindsey finally wanted him back but he still chose Peyton." It felt forced. I wanted a bigger romantic get together for Leyton and was just so disappointed I never got it. Now I know...Luke was just...not good at relationships lol. He just wanted to be married. Didn't really care who the bride ended up being 🤣. Felt really bad for Peyton too. She's still so desperate to be with him. I keep feeling like she loves him way more than he loves her. And that he only chose her because he KNEW Peyton, so desperately in love with him, wouldn't walk out on him like Lindsey had. Lindsey was the easy choice cuz Luke wasn't truly in love with her. Peyton was the sure thing cuz she's been begging him to love her back. I don't know why I ever liked Leyton as a couple now...it's just sad. But, agree with 100% that it's just better we have Leyton together rather than deal with yet another season of mopey piney stuff with yet another unnecessary love triangle. Let's just get it over with. On another note, HATE Victoria. Can't imagine a more despicable mother. AND YES!!!! WE'RE FINALLY AT THE CRAZY NANNY CARRIE ABDUCTING DAN STORYLINE!!!!!!! Your reaction to the Nanny Carrie reveal was hilarious. This show is a soap opera. You can't convince me otherwise lol. Brooke's attack at the end was so shocking to me the first time I watched. It's been a minute since anything violent has happened on this show. I forgot they could go there. I love Brooke so much, I just hate seeing her going through this on top of everything else.

Leora Nechama

I'm 100% with you on not liking Peyton and Lucas together but just wanting them to do it and move on since that's obviously what the show wants. I think Lindsey was the best for him. Brooke deserved better. That said, I just realized it would make no sense for it to have been Lindsey. She was in NY why would she meet him in the Tree Hill airport to go to Vegas?
