I don't think it's a spoiler to clarify that Hardy seems to have a heart condition (those are nitroglycerin pills) and also possibly some kind of post-traumatic stress. David Bradley (Filch) is such an amazing actor and this is such a good, meaty role for him. Really, for so many of these actors. If you think about it Tennant and Arthur Darvill were definitely most associated with Doctor Who at this point, and Olivia Colman was known as more of a comedic actress, and obviously Jodi is a bit of a muse for Chris Chibnall and this is an amazing showcase for her as well. And since then, Tennant's become a go to for a wide range of roles, Jodi ended up The Doctor, Jonathan Bailey has Bridgerton now, Arthur Darvill did some kind of super hero thing, and Olivia is of course now an Oscar winner. There are a few more surprises in the cast in the upcoming seasons as well, one of whom is also much more famous today for a couple of highly celebrated projects done since this.
