I GENUINELY forgot how this episode went. Curious to rewatch it now and see if it would hold up today. Btw, Shannen Doberty played Manny Hanks based off of her real life boyfriend at the time, down to the mannerisms and all lol

The song you liked in the beginning was also by The Cranberries. Great band, you'll definitely know the song ’Zombie’ by them. Episodes like this aren't to be taken too seriously, many exaggarated and annoying stereotypes for sure. Prue I assume had extremely high levels of testosterone in order to attract the succubus, which gave her the urge to punch the guys. It was so funny and unexpected to me, I still laugh whenever I see her go punch those guys with no hesitation as if it was the most obvious thing to do for a ’manly guy’. I'm guessing if we were watching a show about three brothers and one of them became a woman for a day, at some point we'd see him screaming on top of a chair if he saw a mouse. 😄 just use of the stereotype for comedy, and it's fun to see a character we know act so differently.

By the way how does he know the names of the creatures? Do shows like Supernatural just copy eachother or are some beasts generally known? Cause I'm familiar with most common ones such as werewolves, but the Wendigo, the Succubus..? Do I need a lecture in mythology or something?

I would say if he’s watched more then 10 seasons of supernatural than all the demons and supernatural creatures are reused in most shows.

I agree with everyone else that this is just one of their weird, the sisters turn into this or that creature every couple of episodes type deal. Not to be taken seriously at all. Also not in any way controversial when it came out. I wouldn't even say it would be controversial now tbh. Its not about trans people or pronouns. Prue was literally turned into a man. I will say its unfortunate that Phoebe is often sexualized more than Piper or Prue ever are. This is also the official beginning of Piper and Dan's relationship if you are into such a thing.

Well, most fantasy shows get their creatures from mythology and folklore and change the lore around the creature for their show. Best example would be vampires seeing as there about 1000 vamp shows movies and books and they all differ slightly. Banshees and wendigos might not be as famous as vampires and werewolves but they've been done before and even if they haven't they could always be the first show to delve into a certain mythology and mold it for their show's purpose...

If this episode was done today, it probably would have delved a little deeper into being trans. I'd hope they'd tackle the toxic masculinity thing a little differently. Would have been interesting to see. Darryl's partner was gross AF. Really glad he died. Could be a mind trick but I think he played the cupid who showed up naked and wanted to hug as hello in Supernatural right?

That's pretty much the main show I keep an eye out for on this channel now. And when those drops become as irregular as the Buffyverse drops became? I probably won't make it to season 3 on the Charmed reactions.

Same here. We didn't get an episode last week.(((And he skipped a week a while ago too. Which is ok, things happen. I just wish we getting a double drop next week to make up for it.
