i adore this episode so much!! it's such a blast and you get to see how similar and just how much kate and anthony can get under each other's skin. they can each give it right back equally and i love it!! this episode always gives me that fluttery feeling i only really get with certain ships. i adore them so much!!

The episodes continuously get better. As for the Queen, there's a reason she's getting her own season and story. There is story there worth telling and actually Lady Danbury is in it and so is Violet Bridgerton (The Bridgerton's mom).Again, character motivations and drives become more clear as the season moves forward. The reason Lady Danbury and Lady Bridgerton looked at Anthony and Kate at the end was because they are trying to plot a way to make them civil. At this point they are still trying to get Edwina with Anthony. Next episode is one of my favorites! Can't wait!

also i'm hoping you're warming to kate. i'm trying to wait and see what others say and chime in. it may be a flaw in my own character but i'm immensely protective of the fictional characters i love. no one has to like everyone, but i do hope she's winning you over a bit and you can see how truly incredible of a woman she is for her time.

The thing with Edwina, Kate, and the mom, Mary is kinda weird, but essentially when the father died, Mary was not as useful probably due to grieving and Kate stepped up in a lot of ways. We’ll see from more Bridgerton backstory this season, that this is a similarity she shares with Anthony. Both were forced to grow up and act almost like parents to their siblings. For the Kate money/marriage plot, I believe I have it right if I say: she essentially wrote to Edwina’s grandparents (Mary’s parents and not Kate’s grandparents) and secured a dowery for Edwina but only on the condition of Edwina marrying a fine English man. This was stipulated because they were still mad that Mary fled to India to marry a man who already had another daughter from a previous marriage and was considered “beneath her.” Kate never told Edwina or the mother, Mary about the stipulation because she doesn’t want Edwina to feel the pressure of choosing someone in order to provide for all of them (since Kate is unlikely to find someone at this age). She thinks if Edwina or the mom knows, Edwina will marry the first Englishman who proposes rather than seeking a love match. They only had the money to travel to England for one season, so Kate chose for them to wait for Edwina to be of age, and thus Kate is now considered an old maid and too old for the marriage mart.
