Love seeing Colbert show up. I miss way back in the day when he, Ed Helms, and Steve Carrell were Daily Show correspondents. If you don't remember that, there may be clips on YouTube. I know there was a segment called Evens Step(v)phens where Carrell and Colbert would act as opposing pundits. And Colbert used to do This Week in God. Contemporary comedy classics.

I kind of get both sides but I lean more towards agreeing with Pam. Jim wanted to be a part of the company and invest but they weren't talking about money at the meeting. He could have brought it up later and then to say "5 or 10, ok 10" was a bit rushed. He could have said the $5K. Like Pam said, that was most of their savings and they agreed to invest if they needed to but it didn't sound like he really needed to as they were already set with investments. So I think $5K, if he wanted to be a team player, could have been fine.
