2023-04-08 00:13:00 i love Carrie a lot, but i do think she is way too lenient with Zack. And i always preferred Zack, i think he's a funny character and without him, the storylines with Z&amp;C would be boring tbh. But, she really needs to...parent. I think her lenience is mainly for storyline purposes, though. Like, we're supposed to watch Z&amp;C grow their relationship and if she was a real parent and just punished him, we wouldn't see them develop as brothers. I think their brother relationship is so interesting and it wouldn't be as good if Carrie did a lot to fix things. Like, Zack clearly relies on Cody and is more clingy to him. He has a lot of abandonment issues if you look closely. He couldn't handle the silent treatment for more than 2 minutes in this episode, he missed him when he went to Camp while Cody was doing fine, he couldn't handle having a room alone, he missed their dad most when he left and even ran away on the road with him, etc etc. You can even see this happen later in the show once they start actually dating. If this was a more adult show, i think it'd be interesting to see how it played out.
