So the reason it took max than Justin was b/c when it came time to take the second/ next child Alex was a full wizard so it skipped over her. Unknown if it would still take after Justin or not b/c now she’s immune (or before she gave up her full powers)

This movie is far better than I remember and I absolutely loved it when it came out. The emotion! Theresa and Jerry chemistry! Alex giving up her powers but Justin still remembers, so now it'll be a more even field because he'll know what to study for. The wizard competition had me in knots the first time watching. Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did, if not more. Next season is definitely kicked up a notch after this.

Yeah I was only 8, so I didn’t really think about that then, but just watching it now that’s what I thought of. It’s either that or because she’s the one that cast the spell. The reason I say that is when she used the spell to stop being compared to Justin. Everyone forgot him, and he disappeared. It affected everyone but her. So that could be another reason, but I think the full wizard thing would be more applicable in this situation.

So Jen and David talked about this movie on their podcast and both of them thought Harper was robbed of this movie. Jen was the only cast member who didn't get to go to Puerto Rico.

damn selena really acted her butt off for this!!! i know she's good but wow!! i was crying at that scene between her and justin. wow. i think this is what draws people to this show so much. the emotion. while lizzie mcguire touched on serious topics, it was still light and goofy. same with raven. wizards can be light and goofy and may not touch on as serious of topics like lizzie and raven but they consistently pull out the emotional depth in a way that felt "different" for being disney. i definitely see the draw of the franchise for many.

Selena is such well rounded actress. She has such great comedic timing and then had me ready to cry in wizard competition scene.

I'm seriously surprised that they didn't do the Alex puts Harper in her suitcase thing for this movie. Also, I think it would've added a touch of comedy to have Harper and Max keeping watch over Jerry and Theresa.
