Lana's obsession for Lex is stronger than her love for Clark at this point. To me this was fascinating because for the first six seasons, what kept Clark and Lana apart was Clark's lies and now Lana finally knows everything. They can be authentic and honest with one another and she's the one now keeping secrets. So they can't go back to what they were in the early seasons. Everything just changed and they (especially Lana) are different people.

I enjoy this darker Lana, as she finally has a strong motivation. Lex is correct they have a lot in common, both being smart, obsessive and now, vengeful. Plus, she’s got a point, if Clark had taken Lex out, a lot of lives would probably have been saved, though of course we don’t want Clark to do that.
