I really liked this episode, for a lot of reasons including Tim, but also because I hate the Peyton, Lindsey hate each other storyline and I like that everything came to a head in this episode and Peyton apologized for how terrible she's been and we can stop with the constant digs. Also, I'm on Lindsey's side in all things Peyton but I'm not sure I loved the joke making fun of Peyton getting shot in the school shooting.

There IS a part of me that feels bad for Peyton, but I feel bad for her for ONE very specific reason - I feel bad that she fell for Lucas. He's so damn fickle minded and I genuinely believe he literally turn girls insane. Brooke was the same way in high school only she managed to break free of him THANK GOD. Peyton AND Lindsey both need to break free of Luke cuz for all the talk they're giving about this grand love story between Leyton, I don't think Luke loves anyone. He loves the chase, which is why with Brooke, Peyton and Lindsey, he's always trying SOMETHING with another girl. Always trying to be their friend or their hero or whatever. I do feel bad for both Peyton and Lindsey but, ofc, the person getting screwed the most here (in a non-fun way) is Lindsey. She's a nice girl whose "crime" is that she fell for a fickle guy who is still hung up on his ex. She doesn't deserve the way any of this went down or how it makes her feel.

Okay, I gotta say something about Peyton: this season she is behaving terribly towards Lindsay and her being this freaking hung up on Lucas when he is this shitty sucks. Buuuuut we all know she was never like this before, she never turned this bitter and hateful, this is new. And outside of the Lindsay/Luke drama I find Peyton really good with Brooke and Haley and Mia this season. So why can’t we focus on Peyton outside the love drama where she is decent and great?

In some ways I do feel bad for Peyton but then I also remember she had years that she could have come after him. She even could have called him up the next day after he left to talk it through more after emotions calmed down.

Peaches

100% agree with everything you said. She still has other storyline outside of Lucas. It’s unfortunate he’s only invested in the leyton one. Curious to see how he feels next season cause leyton in season 6 is top tier!

We don't know that she didn't. I imagine she DID do that but how exactly would that conversation have gone exactly? Luke was so stuck on "now or never". She made VERY good points during his disastrous proposal in LA and he shot every one down saying that she didn't want him, didn't believe in him, putting words in her mouth. Maybe he WAS ready to call it quits with her and that was his way. He wasn't very reasonable then and, building up this version of how things went down in his head for two years of how SHE dumped HIM, I can't believe that he would be reasonable in the time between either.

Yeah, they should have STOPPED the Leyton thing a long time ago. Peyton working on her label and with Mia and Haley, and Peyton with Brooke...this is all wonderful. Wish they'd focused on that. If they'd wanted a love interest for her, I maintain they should have brought Jake back.

Also can I say Lindsay didn’t forgive Peyton in this episode. Peyton apologized and explained her behavior and then they said they‘d start fresh , clean slate and all. Which I like. Peyton’s apology to Lindsay was long overdue.

You would be surprised at how many people do love Peyton actually, her and Lucas have fan base which is why their story continues this far. However, yes, ranked against the other characters specifically the female characters she tends to rank last on most online polls (if the poll is ranking the 3 female leads Brooke, Haley and Peyton). What were supposed to remember is that even though they look older here they are playing 22/23 year olds figuring out their lives and often making poor personal choices. This nasty version of Peyton is not truly who she is but it's her who insecurities and hurt is making her become; she's young and lashing out and trying to grow from it. Brooke is actually right Peyton is often one to take the high road, like in most of her fights with Brooke. But she's too hurt and jaded and bitter over Lindsey to do so. Again I am not Peyton's number one fan but I understand why she is acting this way, does not make it okay but it isn't unexplainable I guess is my point.

JMH vlogs

they won the game, it showed the records of the teams after week 1 you just missed it

cil

peyton really told lindsay not to laugh at tim. lmao that's wild. she was really in rare form in this episode. absolutely insufferable

Rida

I don't understand why you're hating on Peyton so much when the real villain is Lucas. Peyton is acting petulant and mean but she's hurt and jealous so it's kind of understandable, the same way it's understandable when Lindsay acts childish back. Lucas is the one who is causing all of this by not fully committing to either girl and leading them both on and pulling shit like proposing to Lindsay after kissing Peyton. He clearly proposed to her only because she found the ring and was about to leave. He never said a firm no to Peyton when she asked if he still had feelings for her. He's just stringing them both along the same way he did with Brooke and Peyton before. He's the true problem, and the actual worst character.

Rida

Exactly! The actual worst character is Lucas.

haley

peyton is literally a grown woman… there’s no excuse for how she’s been acting this season. lindsey did NOTHING to deserve the type of treatment she’s receiving from peyton.

Rida

She's only considered a grown woman by societal standards because society has arbitrarily decided to say we're adults at 18. Brain development wise, at 21, she's still an adolescent. And the part of the brain that has yet to fully develop is the part responsible for emotional regulation, impulse control and anticipating the consequences of one's actions. It's totally understandable for her to be acting this way psychology wise regardless of the fact that Lindsay doesn't deserve it. And Lucas is stoking the fire by the way he's acting in terms of stringing them both along and not fully saying that he doesn't have feelings for Peyton.

Trevon

Ok so Peyton gets a past for a behavior because she’s a young woman but Luscas doesn’t get pass for when they are the same age?!?!

haley

in your 20’s you know the difference between right and wrong stop making excuses for her, she’s done this exact same thing before. she should’ve learned from past mistakes. also lucas is clearly not innocent in this either just wanted to add that.

Angela

Peyton is literally the worst. I hated her since the beginning and some people kept telling me she gets better, but she really doesn’t.

Leora Nechama

Peyton was so unnecessarily rude here. I love that they brought Tim back for this episode. I like how Mouth and everyone else still think about the school shooting and the effect it had on their lives and Kate Voegele's song Wish You Were worked well.
