The girl you recognized is Madelyn Cline from Glass Onion, also the corrupt cop is Junk from One Tree Hill. When I watched the pilot I said Nah, not interested in this, a few months after the show came out I kept hearing people say the best show they watched recently, the show they couldn't stop binging, the show they loved is Outer Banks and I thought that show, really, what am I missing, it didn't seem that good. So, I looked it up and saw some articles that kept mentioning episode 4, so I thought, I'll watch til episode 4, then see if I want to keep watching and, well, I'm still watching.

Honestly this show is pretty mediocre and the writing is terrible

I feel like the pilot episode is not that good, but the show gets really going a few episodes in and then you're hooked. It has a The OC vibe to it that's true. But it focuses more on the family dynamics and the friendships than elegant parties and stuff like OC did.

I really hope you pick this show up Steven! I feel like it's truly National Treasure meets CW show. It's cliche to say, but this show is really just a vibe. It's filmed partially in the actual Outer Banks of North Carolina, but it has a lot of scenes filmed in beautiful Charleston, SC. Charleston is where my family went to the beach growing up and it's crazy to see some attention from a show like this finally on some of the teen culture of the East Coast. I recognize the landmarks and the beaches and the culture. My girlfriend and I actually stumbled on set of them filming on Folly Beach, SC this past summer. Is the writing the best...no. Is the acting or effects always great..no. But I think this show has a lot of heart, and if I was back in high school instead of in college, I would love to hang out with these people. The lore really amps up and gets that National Treasure vibe, in some way I feel like we can all really have fun getting wrapped up in secret clues and running from the law. Mostly this show kinda shows what teens would probably actually do and act like/talk like on a treasure hunt.
