I do feel a little bad for Zoey, she didn't really sabotage Wade. She actually helped him a lot to get the prize money and bumped them up to 3rd. The one time she messed up is when she accidentally knocked over the tackle box. Wade seemed more mad about the George stuff than he did about the race, because if he didn't care about that love triangle they could've won by picking up the screws. Idk, I just feel everyone was just a little too harsh on Zoey this episode. Levon was just in the same situation, he could be a little more forgiving. Especially, because you can't help who you love.

No, you can't help who you have feelings for but you do (or should) have control over how you deal with those emotions. Zoe (not Zoey), like Lemon, is a selfish person when it comes to her emotions. She knew Wade had feelings for her, yet choose to string him along to get to George. She also knew Wade wanted the money for the bar, yet she choose to leave him stranded when it mattered the most. Knocking over the box was an accident. Everything else she did on intentionally. And she didn't care whether she hurt him in the process. Lavon had been in the same situation yes but it was in Wade's shoes not Zoe's. Someone strung him along as well - messed with him. So, no, Lavon shouldn't have been more forgiving.

I can see it both ways. I think that Zoey like Lemon was lonely and they attached to the men who seem to care for them the most in those moments. But when Zoey is told how Wade feels she needed to adjust accordingly. She knew how much he needed the money and she knew how he felt and still choose to run to George and tell him she would wait for him. Which also isn’t cool because he is dealing with the lemon situation

I think "stringing" Wade along romantically is a stretch but I see your point in everything else. The romance was one sided because Wade had a misunderstanding.

I like it though bc it tells you that not only Wade needs to grow as a person to be ready for a real relationship, but Zoe does too. She was only thinking of her own feelings in that situation and just didn’t take into account what either Wade or George truly needed.

To me everyone in this episode just acted human. They are all flawed and all made mistakes. I really love Wade, Tansy and Lavon making those lists at the end ;) As for Lemon and George: I think George just realised that yes his relationship is broken but he at least wants to try and fix it bc Lemon and him have been together forever and he still cares.

I have a love hate relationship with this episode. I think the priest suggesting that George and Lemon do therapy makes sense for them as a couple because they have been together forever. It was a good way for them to acknowledge that they issues deeper than Lemon cheating. And you are right George and Lemon's dynamic during the contest is their relationship in a nutshell. Lemon getting off her ass and trying to get the fish showed her finally fighting for it I think. I don't think it was just him being afraid Lemon would die. Of course he cares about that but I do think it made him think more deeply about what he really feels for her. This episode was needed for Zoe for her to see how inappropriate she was being about George. I do like that Wade called her out for being selfish, for only thinking of herself especially after Wade and Lavon told her how important winning this contest was to him. She couldn't wait until the contest was over to confess her feelings for Geroge? Like come on Zoe. I hate that she went to Lavon's at the end to complain about it, it makes me think that she didn't learn anything at all. Also yeah George and Lemon winning the race like that is bs. Granted neither Wade and Zoe nor Tom and Wanda finished but they should have been disqualified. I like Tansy but I don't want her with Wade so I like that he basically admitted that he likes Zoe. Rose's mom is just lashing out, I'm sure she will forgive Zoe in the next episode.
