2023-02-23 11:18:19 To kind of answer your question Joey not knowing what they were or asking Dawson what are we was not related to are we friends vs are we more than friends. It had to do with if they were friends like he claimed he wanted them to be how can he know nothing about her life at the moment or vise versa. Friends hang out and are actively in each others life. She tells him she feels so distant from him and who they use to be. She doesn’t feel the bond which was something she felt when they were just friends and dating. Is there a part of her that misses Dawson the boyfriend, yes. But what she’s really saying is that she misses Dawson the friend. And Dawson saying they’re friends when In her perspective he hasn’t been acting as a friend (in the sense again of not being around or updated in everything new with her) is what she’s trying to get clarification on. Joey doesn’t want to ignore the problem of the distance between them in fear it would ultimately cause they’re friendship to be truly over, where Dawson thinks he can just jump right back in to where they were and be them again (friendship wise) & maybe down the road together again.
