okay, i'm back lol this episode is an interesting one. each season deals with a different trope so to speak. this one is friends to lovers and miscommunication. daphne and simon both feel as if they've trapped the other into marriage and that's why he felt so badly at the start of the episode. he knows she wants children and fears she's "stuck" with him now. i hate what marina is plotting to do with collin and i am so on pen's side about feeling afraid and hurt for collin. i do understand marina though. her options are so limited. i don't agree with what she's doing but i can understand her desperation. i'm so glad we got that little goodbye scene with eloise and daphne. at the core of the bridgerton family, there's so much love there. even if they don't see eye to eye. i agree about the sex scenes. i don't want to spoil anything, but i think you'll enjoy next season a lot more. i sometimes think the explicitness of this season kind of gives the entire season a bad reputation. i can't even tell you how many people respond with "that smut show???" when i tell them i love bridgerton, because that's the reputation it got from this season, which is unfortunate. also having seen both seasons numerous times, while i do love daphne, anthony's season is definitely more up my ally lol but i'm glad you're enjoying this show more now and understanding daphne a bit more. it really is quite sad how uneducated and unprepared these girls were in regards to their wedding night and sex. there's a lot of information on how traumatic wedding nights were for these young girls who had no idea what was to happen. my heart goes out to them, and it's always something i think about when watching daphne's story.

It sucks that it took until she voiced a plan to seduce Colin for you to not like Marina's side of the story, as if just marrying him and lying about already being knocked up by another man is not still completely horrible. It is still better than other reactors I have seen who, even after this seduction part was revealed, were still on Marina's side and was loud in their hatred for Penelope for trying to stop this plan or even considering telling the truth just because she has feelings for Colin, like that makes it wrong for her to want to protect him from this deceitful plan.

Yes ofc it’s wrong to withhold something lifechanging like that. But also Marina has really no other choice. This isn’t 2023 where single women can have children without beingn outcasts and living in complete poverty. Marina‘s back is against a wall here. If Marina told Colin, there is a high chance he would not marry her and her child would not be provided for and the Featheringtons are not helping her either. So what is she supposed to do?
