The Funeral sequence was in his head. At the end of the last season Juliette was dead and, in his mind, this was him going over it in his head. Even though Juliette embraced herself being a Hexenbiest she still wasn't happy with herself, she wanted to be a regular person again which is probably why she wanted Nick to kill her.

I liked the ending of the scratch across the screen. We saw the same marks in the episode when Nick chased after someone outside the building him and Chaves was attacked in that gave a hint to what she was telling him about before she died.
