Moments like Lucas whispering into Peyton's ear in this episode, is why I have more of a problem with Lucas then Peyton, I have a problem with Peyton, especially this season but Lucas man, I just have had problems with him since season 1. Quentin is terrible, but I feel like Nathan was worse in the first season, we haven't seen Quentin stealing vehicles, getting almost everyone but him kicked off the team, drunk driving and crashing cars and trying to blame it on his girlfriend or constantly ganging up on on someone and getting into fights, so I don't if we should give up on him quite yet. I don't like the Mouth storyline, it didn't start great with Mouth kissing his boss and it hasn't got better with her unfiring him because he had sex with her and now promising potential promotion for continued sex, the power dynamics there, it's just not great.

I think Nathan just sees a lot of himself in Q and so that's a major reason why he wants to help him as he used to be similar to him in season 1. Which as we all see he has changed and come far from that and he maybe wants the same for him too. I also think the Lucas comment was uncalled for and its like he wants Peyton to move on yet acts like someone he doesn't even know isn't good enough for her. The story line with Nanny Carrie is interesting and im curious to see your reaction to where it goes from here.

yeah the mouth story line isn't great at all. I think they could've given him something way better too and it just feels very wrong which I don't think this would be written if it was airing today. Plus if it was a male boss and a female in mouth's position I don't think it would be taken the same way either like its just inappropriate either way.

Mouth's storyline feels super icky and uncomfortable, I really hated it. As for Lucas: he clearly has some unresolved feelings for Peyton (why else would he say that shit), but he is hurting everyone's feelings in the process. This season made my really dislike Lucas. Regarding Brooke's store: as she said she sold some scarves and purses and if Victoria hadn't flown in the couture line (which Brooke never authorised), her sales would have been fine. Just focus on day-to-day items that do sell well here and not high-end dresses. But Victoria did that to prove to Brooke she has no business sense, which she succeeded at.

I came here to say the same thing about Brookes store. She wanted more casual pieces but sneaky Victoria brought in a bunch of high end items to sabotage things.

exactly. Steven is right high-end fashion wouldn't work in a small town but that was never Brooke's intention anyways. She just wanted to sell casual items from her designer line. And people wanted that, indicating as many people showed up and Brooke even said she sold some scarves and stuff.

Good episode, I feel like we kind of see everyone take big steps towards their dreams/careers. Haley with getting back into music with Peyton, Brooke opening her store, Nathan getting a haircut and getting back on the court to mentor Quentin. Nathan sees a lot of himself in Quentin, I think its easy to forget just what Nathan was like since he changed so quickly but first season Nathan and Quentin are two peas in a pod. Quentin does get a lot better. Strangely, as a Leyton fan, that interaction between Lucas and Peyton at the store opening is one of my favorites. If you waited til season four like we had and they finally got together, only to find them broken up in season five was so disappointing. So her actually trying to move on and him being a douche about it was hopeful honestly. It was also a great moment for Peyton to stand up for herself. Its one of the few moments we get like that from her this season. Its a trying one for Peyton fans. And of course Lucas doubles down on his relationship with Lindsey later on to make up for it. Its honestly a horrible season for Lucas as well.
