It was mentioned in the beginning that the waitress waited 6 years for a proposal and got fed up, so she dumped him. But he already had the ring, just waited too long to ask. So his stumbling was thanks to that, he still was carrying the ring, but they were broken up so he'd get more nervous. "Why don't we just destroy the urn?" Lol that thought never even occurred to me, I'm curious now what would happen. Does the guardian of the urn get destroyed with it? I enjoyed the guardian, only seen this kind of creature on Charmed. Clay is meh. I agree that he's still crap, just because he didn't let Phoebe die, doesn't mean he automatically stopped being a thief and looking for shortcuts in life. Not to mention used her, lied to her and put Prues job and auction house in serious risk. This is a nice episode, nothing spectacular but it didn't suck either, shows us more about the sisters powers.

I don't really like Clay either. They really had to play up Phoebe's immaturity this episode to make them fit together because she was so blind to him. She is all about love though, sometimes to a fault, and goes all-in with a stupid amount of trust (like last episode with Rex before she found the empty apartment.) Clay is one of those times. This episode did have some cool magic moments with Piper and Prue though, and the storyline was cohesive so it is an okay season 1 episode. You're almost over the bump, and while there are still a couple duds, better episodes are coming.

Hmm, I don't know... I don't remember any duds in season 1 after this episode. I feel like starting next episode and all the way to the season finale it's just great episode after great episode. Honestly, mostly skip this episode on rewatch, it's not bad, I just find myself annoyed with Clay, and there is nothing happening at all for any of the long-term and overarching stories, so. The rest of the season is pretty great though.

This is such a late comment but Christine Rose, the actress who plays Prue's new boss, was Christopher's mother on Gilmore Girls, Mike's mother on Friends (Phoebe threw up in her coat closet lol), and the matriarch (aka Milo Ventimiglia's mother) on Heroes. :) Also, so excited for the next half of this season. They are all favorite episodes of mine.
