Yeah, I don't think anyone wants Blair/Nate. I think it does make sense for Blair's character though. She is going through this low point in life where all her plans for the future are suddenly gone, so she falls back to something safe and familiar, aka Nate, the boy she was dating since she was 12 and was gonna someday marry. Nate is a thrash character though, who seems nice on a surface level only. I think it's just the way he is written, that makes him kinda shitty, somewhat redeemable( I mean, let's face it - all the characters are in this show), but they failed to make him interesting enough. That's why you keep hearing that people don't like Nate. It's not because he is the worst person in the show, it's because he was supposed to be the decent one out of the rich kids, but he is not and it is never really acknowledged. As opposed to Blair(and even Chuck), who is a horrible person, who knows she is a horrible person and embraces it. She knows who she is, and what she wants, and is fully self-aware. And that makes it interesting to watch her shenanigans and character arcs like this one where we see some changes and dare I say growth? Also, I agree post season one Serena is not a good character. They finished season one arc for her, but don't really know what to do with her now.
