It is interesting how a show can make you root for the main characters to the point where we are hella annoyed by other characters that are antagonistic to our mains even tho they are right You are surprised that everybody is ganging up on Mike and Harvey and calling out Gibbs or the therapist or any of the other characters for "assuming" the worse of Mike and Harvey and "condemning" their actions, when they are 100% right... It isn't so difficult to jump to the conclusion that Harvey and Mike are doing the exact same shady shit they did before, to get Mike out of jail, to get him a hearing and give him the chance to be a lawyer... Just a few days after he got out of prison for pretending to be a professional lawyer he just get accepted to plea his case to become a lawyer? Without even having been to law school in the first place and having been already convicted for impersonating a lawyer?... It isn't that hard to crack that they are doing shady things... Harvey and Mike are blackmailing, strong arming and doing all kinds of shady things to, once again, cut corners and con their way into letting Mike be a lawyer. It doesn't really matter that Mike "feels bad" about doing these shady stuff, he is doing it anyways... He knows it's wrong, he knows he is in the wrong for attempting to even be a lawyer again, but he is doing it anyway because he wants to... Doesn't matter how much he says that "he wants to do good" or that he is doing it to "help" the clinic; he is mainly doing it for himself, it's self serving, he wants to be a lawyer... And it isn't a "victimless crime" what he is doing or what he did pretending to be a lawyer, all of the cases he touched had to be reopened and many people, good or bad, got affected by it... It was also self serving in that, he got rich pretending to be a lawyer in that firm; the "good guy" seems like an act to others, rightfully so, because he pretended to be a lawyer for a HUGE firm with huge bonuses and corporate clients... Yes, here and there Mike took on cases pro bono and really helped someone innocent, but 90% of their cases was good old corporate clients trying to keep their money or to increase it, giving huge bonuses and giving Mike the ability to pay that costly apartment he got and causing him to be quite well off even now, after prison. The reality is that, no matter how much we love our main characters, they are in the wrong, they are doing illegal shit... We can be annoyed that Gibbs is so hell bend on getting Mike and Harvey, but the truth is, she has every reason to; she is an agent of the law and they are criminals, because they have committed many crimes... Mike's boss has every reason to go off on him and fire him for lying and using his clinic to pursue Mike's own self serving desires, in illegal ways no less... The Therapist had every reason to go off on Mike when they first talked, because he is right, Mike was doing the exact same shady shit that got him locked up in the first place... The thing is that neither Harvey or Mike have any moral grounds to stand on to tell any of these people that they are wrong or that they are "the good guys" and the others are "the bad guys"
