2022-12-31 06:59:26 I feel that Rachel/Ms.Rachel was super inappropriate regardless if they never slept with each other. The fact that she allows her her students to call her by her first name and she meets with Dan outside of school and talks to him about her problems. It just seemed like their a comfortability there that shouldn’t have been there. She wouldn’t listen to Serena and her apology but the first chance she gets she kisses Dan and proceeds to have sec with. She has been wanting to do that, I felt the vibe. I get having a cool young teacher that you can relate to but she’s always been a bit off too me. Same with way Dan went out of his way to defend her.

CallingCollins

I know I'm late but I wanted to comment on this as I catch up with uploads. As a teacher myself, what Rachel did was completely against code of ethics that a teacher pledges to upon certification. Before the flirting ensued, she often met with her students outside of school hours off school premises. That's one strike. Then, she allowed her students to cross a boundary by calling her by her first name (Serena and Dan). That's another. Lastly, she encouraged compromising situations with students under her care by fraternizing with them alone (one on one). Rachel seeking comfort from Dan after the alleged scandal was idiotic and reckless. Then, to insinuate that, had the timing been different, they could've had a sexual/romantic relationship was just plain disgusting. This not only encourages Dan's misplaced feelings, but initates a secrecy between teacher and student that could be dangerous for both parties. Bottom line is, before there was evidence of their private meetings etc. Rachel should have lost her job, period. If she were to sue the school, she would instantly lose because there are two instances where students have spotted them meeting outside school hours. And there is also digital proof of misconduct according to code of ethics. I'm not defending Serena (although Dan very much lied to her, because there was something going on as he flirted with Rachel during dinner. He definitely gaslighted her with that.) or Blair for their actions. But "Ms. Rachel" should have been let go anyways, because she put her students in a compromising position when she vowed to protect them. Thanks for listening to my nerdy rant. I just take my job seriously and this plot always bothered me. Loved the reaction!
