the first 3 movies are really good and have an actual arc to them then the others kind of do as well but you start to loose people

Lotr are literally the best movies ever made. I’m saying that as a girly girl who usually doesn’t like action movies. The halfway point in each movie is always like an ending point so it is possible to watch each movie in 2 parts. They are so good and engaging that you probably won’t want to stop watching. They’re way better than these pirate movies even though I like these movies as well.

Just started the reaction, but I'm so glad you chose this instead of LOTR. I can't speak for everyone, but jesus LOTR is so damn boring imo. I don't blame you for not wanting to sit through 4 hours of that each movie.

Pirates! Amazing franchise! The trilogy is very iconic it became a blockbuster hit for Disney in a way they never expected it to be.

Honestly, for me, the franchise DOESN'T go off the rails at all. All of them are great movies in their own right. The first three are amazing, and the last two are still really great and entertaining. They each have awesome storylines, and in the end, they're one complete story and a really great franchise. This one is top tier, but it's not actually my favorite. With the established background, I think the sequels do it better, but I could be alone in that.

Great movie, great reaction. I think the reason there hasn't been a pirates movie for a while isn't because of the franchise. All of the movies are great. Sure, they are sequels, there are very few exceptions to that, but they're still good. I think it has more to do with Johnny Depp's personal situation. Also, you need to watch Gladiator if you haven't, or re-watch it if you have (you might hear a familiar score :D).

Great movie choice! You mentioned LOTR, maybe watch it in parts if it’s too long? It’s worth watching to see what you think of the first one.

Thanks for doing Pirates of the Caribbean franchise! They are all fun movies to watch, but the first one is the one that I enjoy the most. As for the Lord of the Rings, just cut the movies in half. They are pretty long, but they have areas that are perfect for stopping at which makes it easy to react to the movies in parts. It doesn't have to be one long sitting.
