Jimmy has a right to be upset in this episode regarding Clark's behavior and Chloe just acting like it was nothing. Just because we as the audience knows what happened to Clark doesnt mean that Jimmy or anyone else who isnt in on his secret knows.

Lois and Clark do have chemistry! You asked that at the beginning. I just feel their relationship dynamic is very different than the Lana and Clark dynamic/chemistry. Clana is very unstable passionate young love very turbulent they're young and when you're young you feel everything on a larger scale. Right now the focus isn't on the chemistry between Lois and Clark beyond the hints at "love of your life is right around the corner" a romantic relationship between the two isn't the priority for their dynamic at the moment.Instead their chemistry is highlighted in more of their banter and back and forth. They're able to really bounce off of one another in a fun way that Clark isn't able to do with anyone else especially Lana. The way he doesn't hold back the sass or snark towards Lois, he's able to unlock a funnier side to himself perhaps because she's someone in the town who hasn't known him his entire life and has little expectation of him unlike others around him.

Btw the bowtie thing with Jimmy is a joke, b/c traditionally in the original comics, Jimmy Olsen always appeared wearing a bowtie. Nowadays the comics and shows will throw a bowtie in as an homage.
