The longer meaningful arcs are still coming I swear ;D

I would agree. It was around this season on my first watch-through where I felt the overall story was lacking and the cases didn't pull me in as much. The story is still there but mostly at the start and end of the seasons, and the show from here tends to rely on humor more. I still enjoyed my time with it but I can see why that would be less interesting.
