You wondered about the episode title. It comes from what Mitchell said to Claire in the gym: the Alfred Hitchcock movie "Strangers on a Train" (for my money his best -- a wonderfully entertaining thriller), in which two strangers agree to do each other's crimes. As Mitch and Claire were both on treadmills at the time, hence the title. The thing that was wrong about Cam's bike shorts was indicated by the way his shorts were pixellated by the camera every time we saw them, as if concealing something obscene. In other words, the shorts put his junk on public display. I don't remember if Alex's tears at the end lead to anything in future episodes; in this case, I think the scene was there mostly to provide an example of what Phil &amp; Claire had just said -- that her work, handling everyone else's emergencies, is never done.
