an okay episode....not my favorite but still solid and good. i wish we'd seen more about what happened with the meeting. like maybe it'd have been good to have alan getting demoted or being given a larger pay cut. or to have alan originally take a larger pay cut in order to ease it from the rest of his employees he has to look after. that could have been a teaching moment for corey about looking out for others that you're responsible for and making sure not to abandon them when things get tough or frustrating. i still like this episode, i just wish it was more fleshed out. i think we're entering in the stages of Annoying Morgan. i have empathy for her because aparently the actress was pretty miserable at this time. so her performance isn't going to be outstanding. it feels very forced at times because it was, and i feel bad, but it can be quite jarring at times. this episode was one of those times. and idk if this counts as a spoiler, but feel free to stop reading here but they do end up replacing her actress because the little girl was so miserable and she's never, ever acted again. which i think is wonderful given all the other child stars who were forced into it. but seeing her unhappy on set and seeing that reflected in her character is too bad. i don't blame her at all, she was just a little one. but it does take away from things at times. also i love than shawn's dad was going to come to the play. we don't know much about shawn's folks yet, apart from him being scared to go home. so it was just nice to see that his dad was going to take time off from work to come support his son.
