welcome to boy meets world lol there'll be many more episodes like this to come. i love the dynamic between cory and shawn. not to spoil anything but that face off in that classroom really parallels something and i didn't even put that together until now and i just am really even more amazed by this show realizing that. i loved how cory faced him and was the one to actually get aggressive. it was tough love and that's what shawn needed. i think he probably gets a lot of tough but not quite enough love just yet and it was wonderful to see how strong corys love for him is. he was willing to physically stand off with him in order to put himself between shawn and a dangerous path. cory is a goofball so much of the time but damn is he a good friend and really showed strength and courage this episode. my heart goes out to shawn. i'll never forget a girl in my middle school literally sobbing because she was so terrified to go home. the teacher just laughed. actually laughed at her. it's been decades and that moment and interaction is burned into my brain. shawn has people in his corner. right now he's feeling like he has to face the world alone but he's not alone. he's got cory and mr deny and alan and amy who truly do love and care for him and it was so beautiful to see that in this episode. this makes me so excited for future episodes and seeing how much more invested and in love you fall with this show. it's a favorite for decades for a reason :)

Yes, most kids would be freaked out about facing their parents after doing something like that, but to be THAT freaked out and adamant about not going home, it never sits right with me... Cory and Shawn's friendship is just amazing. I love them so much. I feel like while it's been clear that they're best friends for a while now, THIS is the episode that really solidifies it. It kinda gives us more of an idea of their dynamic and the more serious aspects of their friendship. We got a little bit of that back in the Christmas episode, but I see this episode as the one that really shows how close they are and how important they are to each other... &lt;333

this is the episode that made me love the show and connect to it. Shawn remains one of my favorite tv characters ever. Even including shows I now watch as an adult.

i always just want to give this boy a hug. i'm so thankful he has the matthews family. it was so interesting to hear how allan connected with shawn. i'm so glad shawn has people in his corner. he breaks my heart so much ❤️
