yes, they recasted Jesus. Apparently, Jake T. Austin, who played Jesus before, thought the character was being reduced in the following seasons and he wanted to look for other things and play better roles. I was a bit weirded out by the change at first but I honestly do like Noah Centineo as Jesus as the story progresses.
