That dinner scene when Klaus goes for Aurora and then Tristan goes for Freya then Elijah goes for Tristan and Lucien of all people makes a quip at the table has got to be the most chaotic and entertaining moment in the season. I was chuckling up a storm at the antics! Watched it back a few times 😂 I also agree with you about how it was a little much for the Jackson thing. I mean, I get where he's coming from. He's grouping the Mikealsons together as an outsider. So Rebekah is grouped up with Klaus, who they just moved away from after his whole tirade shenanigans, and Elijah, who still is very much in love with Hayley and she-him no matter how much she tries to deny it. Then there's Freya who tied up Jackson a few episodes ago when he wanted to pointlessly defend Hayley when she was yelling at Klaus. He just hates the Mikealson clan but what he doesn't understand is that Hayley has fallen into the curse of the "Always and Forever" mantra. She IS a Mikealson whether she likes it or not and she will always go back to them no matter what feud they get into.
