Plus, its not okey to do things like that between just friends when one friend has those extra feelings and the other does not, but it is even more black &amp; white wrong when one person is seeing someone else!

Love this episode! So, my problem with Daphne this episode is that she made it clear to Bay that she’s going to pursue Emmett, even though Bay and Emmett are in an actual relationship. So, things are just not like old times anymore. While I do believe she genuinely wanted to talk to Emmett about Angelo, it’s clear that she definitely had ulterior motives as well. Oh well - I really like daphne and Wilke together, and obviously I don’t want Daphne to give up on their friendship, but she expressed she had feelings for him last episode and they kissed, so I don’t think she should be pretending that her actions in this episode were innocent. The whole Bay/Emmett argument is why I appreciate a show like this. This show was essentially my first introduction to the deaf community, but even I could connect with Emmett’s frustration in this episode even if I didn’t exactly have first-hand knowledge of it. When it comes to disenfranchised groups of people, and especially to disabled people, there is going to be a right way and wrong way to interact and treat them. At the center of the conflict is that Bay didn’t allow Emmett the agency he deserved in those moments. She could have just said something like “this is how he communicates. Just let him order” and she could have told the other guy to “f*ck off” so his deafness isn’t seen as something to pity or something that should disempower him. So, Bay “didn’t know any better” but Emmett still had the right to be upset and correct her, just like any disenfranchised person would do on an interpersonal level when people don’t understand that they’re doing something that might come off as an -ist (ableist, sexist, racist, etc.) John and Kathryn are very overbearing parents at times, so I didn’t think twice when Bay told John that she wouldn’t need him because he was clearly getting on her nerves lol And the whole Regina/Angelo/Bay scene was just a shame. I personally blame Angelo more than I blame Regina because he was the one that continuously brought up the past and Regina just indulged in that. All of his little comments too about it being a family again, as if he didn’t walk out on her 13 years ago is wild too. He should have been focused on Bay from the start, but I guess he was surprised that Regina was there.
