I think it’s important to realize that the directors have intent with everything they do. Your always saying “it doesn’t make sense” but it’s because your getting information in pieces and if you would be a little more patient it will all come together. Also maybe be a bit more mindful of your audience. Most of the people watching your reactions are only watching because we love the show and the main characters. so to hear the excessive negativity on most of your reactions is making them hard ti watch. There are a lot of things I enjoy about your reactions but it’s getting difficult for me to watch you complain about my favourite shows and characters. Hope you don’t take this comment the wrong way. I just know Myself and a lot of your viewers would be able to enjoy your reactions a lot more if you maybe saved the negative comments till the review portion.

Lol. We don't just hate Nate. We hate Vanessa too

Jeremy Burch

For me hate is a strong word, I'm not a fan of Nate, largely for me because of his acting, I thought he was just a little boring for me. I mean he is a little bit less of a mind game playing, back stabbing type, of the rich characters, but I don't think he was great with Blair though, he did play mind games with her and cheat on her but otherwise I guess he's better than the others. Just feel like he's a little, to a lot boring, depending on the episode or storyline.

Sofie

I think that you take the show way too seriously. I have always seen Gossip Girl as a dramedy-satire and take things with a grain of salt. Like I realise that the characters are ridiculous, the storylines are ridiculous and you should just leen into it. I think that it will help with your enjoyment of the show. Also Serena never said she murdered someone, she says she killed someone. ;D

Sofie

I know and the fact that Steven seems to refuse to acknowledge what a crappy boyfriend he was to Blair and how he played with her feelings is a little disturbing. People have stated many times in the comments that Nate's behaviour towards Blair wasn't cool, but every time Steven brings up the Nate thing, he's like he only cheated on her....and never brings up the fact that he was a turd of a boyfriend and was actively chasing another girl while he had a girlfriend. You can like Nate, we all have "bad" characters that we like, but just don't be blind to the things that they have done. Also agree on the part that Nate is very boring.

Robke

Why should he not express himself? If he doesn't enjoy anything in the episode but is holding himself back, this would turn into something very awkward to watch. He's mostly expressing dislike towards other characters, not so much the show itself. Which are all on point, the people in this show are acting stupid and morally bankrupt for no reason. People will react and enjoy in their own way, and he should not feel obligated to withhold his opinions.

Robke

Ok but almost all characters in this show cheated an some point, howcome Nates cheating is worse? He wanted to break up with Blair too, but his parents pretty much forced him to delay that. He never played with Blairs feelings for fun. Nates true crime is his being boring, since much worse acts in this show seem to be forgiven just because someone is more fun to watch, so let's not pretend we like or dislike him for moral reasons. XD

Robke

Agreed, that would help the enjoyment. If it's taken too seriously, the ridiculousness of some parts would make someone annoyed, so it's better to laugh it off instead. xD

Robke

I totally expected you to be let down by the ’’killed someone’’ reveal since you thought it was something deliberate and dark. XD To me from the start it always sounded like when someone is super guilty, they make their act sound as bad as possible to punish themselves, so I always knew it was not a true murder, especially since Serena is so rarely malicious, at worst I expected self defence. This episode was all over the place, but I really love how Blair convinced everyone to help Serena, and how loving and reassuring she was last episode. But man, Serena messed up big time with Dan, and she really couldn't be mad if he did anything with Georgina, cuz it's nothing like ’’we were on a break’’ situation, she flat out told him she cheated. So not only is he free, he is hurt enough to make some stupid choices of his own which would very much be thanks to Serenas brilliant problem solving skills. And please Steven don't be swayed by comments who complain you express your dislike for some characters or the show, because 1) most of the time your points are very logical and with good reason 2) you should never feel the need to fake the reaction or withhold your opinions. Honesty is better than fake positivity.

Kprincess

It’s not just this episode or this show. 90% of the time he doesn’t have anything good to say. The vampire diaries, Gilmore girls, euphoria, and gossip girl are well loved shows and those who are fans of the show want to watch others enjoy it. However, it comes off like he hates all of the writers choices. We’re not suggesting these shows and paying for the reactions just to have him express his hatred for every little thing. luckily his brother is much more positive, while still being able to express what he doesn’t like. But you are absolutely right he isn’t obligated to do a damn thing. This is just my opinion on how he can improve his reactions, by saving some of the negativity til the end portion. Also not the first time someone has made a comment like this.

Robke

I don't watch Gilmore girls or Euphoria, but in the Vampire diaries he constantly says a lot of positive things. In last season alone he loved Kai as a villain, he loves Steroline, he loved some smaller details which he always mentions. And the stuff he dislikes in TVD pretty much goes with most of the fandom, such as Elenas stuff is repetitive and boring, Enzo was ridiculous with his revenge... everyone hated these. I mean in TVD Steven enjoyed the lore the most, he's not that into the teen drama, from other reactions I see what kind of stuff he likes, so it's really surprising to me that people vote for girly shows when it's clearly not his cup of tea. Try his Dexter, House, Nikita reactions, those I watched and he's very into it, not to mention they're amazing shows, or some other show which as more to offer than female drama.

cil

i think its wild that anyone can hate nate or vanessa...but like chuck or blair. all of the characters on this show have done horrific things. why not keep the same energy for everyone lol.

Primus

Perfectly said. Don't change your mind on who or what you like based on someone else's favourites.

Asaunte

It's a tv show about scheming manipulative rich teenagers. I'm not watching for morality. If this was real life, that'd be different. But on the show, Nate and Vanessa are boring and annoying

Primus

Ha. I definitely noticed that this show tends to bring the worst in some fans...

Primus

Ha that's so true. No one seems to keep in mind the parental pressure when talking about Nate :)) I guess some people only see what they want to see..

Robke

@cil exactly lol. I understand why someone might not choose them as favorites, but hate? 😂 really??

Rida

Yea it was pretty unbelievably that Serena would have deliberately killed someone. Now if Blair had said that, that would be a different story. I might actually believe she killed someone.

Robke

I'd think it was murder if Chuck or other guys said it xD none of the girls seem like the murderous type, except for maybe Georgina. Blair and some others are super petty and vindictive in shallow ways, but I don't think they could kill, they seem too dainty and squeamish 😄
