"What the post apocalyptic shit is this" 🤣🤣

So yes, Nina does leave the show. To me it makes perfect sense, she was doing insane hours with all the doppelgangers, but now that their storyline has ended, playing Elena must not be as interesting for an actor, especially since her stuff was so repetitive at this point. Even Elena was tired of Elena. Besides I don't know how comfortable it was for her to be so closely working with ex boyfriend Ian (Damon). They started dating around 2nd season and ended around 4th. Nina said to her from the start this was going to be a 6 year project, so she did her part. Kinda watching now I also think they could've easily kept her somewhere close, and jump in to have conversations like they did in this episode. Anyways, love Nina. She was born for this role, she did her job as Elena/Katherine and others perfectly, performances that will be remembered by everybody who loved the show. ❤

I kinda love how Kai was beheaded, but at the same time it happened too fast and too easily. He had just become this mega powerful witch/vampire hybrid and he was more easily killed than when he was a human witch. If anyone deserved to kill Kai at this point was Rick. Poor Rick xD his love life in the series is literally the worst. Married a woman obsessed with vampires, who eventually left him cold to become one. Then started dating Jenna who was brutally sacrificed by another vampire. Then there was Meredith, who did not end in tragic death, but Alaric almost killed her during his evil blackouts. And now Jo. If Rick swore off relationships for life, it would be understandable.

Steven - what is the show gonna be like without her? Almost everyone - Surprisingly as good if not better

I wouldn’t say better, but everyone’s fear that the show’s quality dips was totally untrue. Plus, I feel like Nina left at the exact right time, Elena’s stories were all told.

I didn’t mind it bc of all the huge damage he caused already - Elena basically dead, Bonnie losing her bff and nearly her life, Jo dead, the entire gemini coven dead, Tyler a werewolf, Lilly’s crazy family freed - what more evil could he have done?

Robke

Lmao I definitely remember the distinct feeling of being refreshed 🥒🥬 but still I don't think the storyline is that strong.

Robke

Oh, I didn't mean I wanted him to stay longer, I definitely didn't. But some struggle would've been nice, like a fight maybe? I'm sure glad he's gone, he was a good villain though.

For me the first half of s7 dragged a little, but s8 is really good imho

Idk...a lot of people think it was worse too. I can't explain why because it'd be spoilers. They definitely could have made me love the last two seasons even without Elena. However, it was what they chose to focus on that bothered me. I thought the focus should have shifted to different characters rather than what they ultimately went with. I definitely don't think the last two seasons work for everyone. I rarely rewatch them.

Robke

Yeah. They got a chance to start fresh and bring something new to the show, but they didn't take the risk, maybe were too attached to the storylines that fans loved.
