Tia

Well I gave the heads up a lot of times about avoiding the opening credits for the first 2 episodes of season 4, so I hope you saw the comment somewhere! Now on to watch this reaction.

Andrea

I never did care for the Supergirl fakeout in this episode, tbh.

Steven how did not understand clark's frustrations????? He literally walks into the most creepy room ever where there are photos of you, meteor rocks, and even that kryptonian family tree that he literally threw away in the trash (missed the bucket). So it stands to reason that one would think that Lex would still be investigating him. I mean The betrayal one would feel.... because literally all season lionel has continously been trying to do that and eve lex has helped clark against this but now that room def. looked to clark that the friendship was a ploy to get info on him. With all that in mind, clark then see's lex embracing Lana and with the frustrations and anger of betrayal he gets angry and you then call clark a "coward" o_0. Then you say this show makes Johnathon kent look bad, again i have no idea where that is coming from either. Don't get me wrong i love your reactions but this one was where I heard the oddest takes and conclusions from you

With the Kara thing what made it wierd for you was that you immediately assumed it was supergirl because of your prior knowledge but if you just watched it and went along with what the show was telling/showing you, they never said she was his family member. In fact the origin story which you got right of the actual supergirl wasn't even close to being the same as this chick. tbh i thought that would snap you out of thinking she was Supergirl. Plus literally the first thing she did was kill someone. I truly believe you being confused and too hung up on that kinda ruined the watch for you, cuz she was kinda creepy and menacing which was really cool

I think calling the character Kara and Clark saying that she’s he cousin, is more of a knowing nod to supergirl.

Just to clarify he never said it made Jonathan look bad. He said it made his dad look bad... since you know...Clarks biological father was out here killing people, using people, torturing Jonathan in that moment. So you misunderstood which dad he was talking about. The Lex mistrust seeing the room and especially the paper he had thrown away though, that I agree with you on.

Yeah I understand your confusion over the Kara fake out. I remember feeling conflicted, on one hand, I was sad we didn't' get supergirl and was annoyed at the tease, but at the same time, this "version" of Kara was so weird and creepy and cold I was like, "oh thank goodness this isn't really Kara". Regarding Clark's freaking out over Lex's room, I think he was already feeling really emotional over Pete and Lana leaving. He had to have known Chloe was also leaving in a sense (protective custody), since he was aware she was testifying against Lionel. So he feels super alone and upset (plus also hormonal teenager), add to that he's been kinda arguing with Lex lately and has been noticing Lex and Lana have become much closer, I think finding a room filled with all info about his life, was just the tipping point for him. It's just looked really bad. We, as the audience have all of Lex's context while Clark does not so that makes it all the more agonizing to watch. Looking forward to watching you react to Season 4! Tia is right please make sure you skip the credits for the first TWO episodes as they contain spoilers and we want you to enjoy them, spoiler free.

Tia

Well, you can't say I wasn't persistent. I truly hope he got the message one time. If not, so be it. lol

Twenty-eight people died in Season 3. There are 8 episodes this season where no one died. By the end of this season, there are 21 total episodes in the entire series where no one died. That's an average of exactly 7 episodes per season. Lex killed Morgan Edge and Lana killed one of Edge's henchmen. Clark saved Lana five times and Lex twice, Pete twice, Chloe twice, and Jonathan three times. Clark's life was in real mortal jeopardy four times this year: Jonathan saved him from a kryptonite bullet, Pete saved him from falling, Lex saved him from drowning in kryptonite, and Jonathan saved him from a knife wound. There was only one fatality among the staff of Smallville High: Joseph Altman. There were three fatalities among the students of Smallville High: Jake Pollen, Nathan Dean and Garrett Davis.
