I Am Not Chamari

Oh my gosh... This episode. The music was fantastic/funny, but everything else, was borderline painful. The Kitty/Puck stuff is unbelievably awful, and particularly heinous considering real life events. I started to side eye the Glee writers after re-watching this episode because wtf The Rachel/Brody stuff was weird. He could have called or something, but their relationship has always been weird to me. I agree with you about not caring about Rachel/Brody. They do absolutely nothing for me, honestly. It feels like it's just infatuation and Rachel is buying into this whole adult, get what you want thing, and it's all just a performance to me. And finally, the Blaine/Tina stuff. Gosh. First of all, I'd like to say that I know too many women, straight women, queer women, whatever, who do happen to fall for gay guys. It's very unfortunate, and while I understand the whole, you can't help how you feel argument, you can certainly help how you act on things. Now, going off of that generalization, Tina didn't just sing a nice song to ask Blaine out. She sung a sung about being deeply in love and not knowing how to deal with it. Blaine had no idea she meant to ask him to the dance. He was hilariously clueless while everyone else was mortified. That put Blaine in a really unfortunate position where he HAD to say no. I HATE that they made it about Sam (I don't hate that Blaine has caught feelings for Sam however. I kind of love it). But, yeah. The fact that the writers wrote that he said no because he has feelings for Sam doesn't make any sense to me. Like, his experience from the Sadie Hawkins dance at his old school and him being gay should have been enough to say no. I will say it again because the writers have made an enemy out of me. The way that they have been writing Tina is so monumentally offensive and misogynistic and literally all the things. The way this show has continously disrespected her character, always wanting to turn her into a laughingstock is so utterly horrible that I almost stopped watching the show. It upsets me so deeply.

all of this was a big joke but the song were actually really good! the tina and blaine thing is ridiculous but i don't understand how the glee fandom always is mad a tina but love the sam and blaine thing? some fans were really pushing for blaine and sam to get together but were disgusted by tina having a crush on blaine? weird... this show basically is "everyone is in love with everyone, we fight and we sing about it" and that's all i need ahaha i love glee even how messed up it is, i've seen it so many times that it doesn't even bother me how ridiculous some storylines are! they really took the satire to another level lol

So we're here, this episode has me so mixed up. The songs (minus that weird rendition of Baby Got Back) were awesome. The duet with Brittany and Marley was unexpectedly great and I believe it's the best that Brittany/Heather has sounded so far. It was also nice to see Lauren again, I'm still not sure why they got rid of her. She was funny and while not the best singer, she served more of a purpose than Sugar Motta (who's only reason for being there was to start the Troubletones in season three, but the Troubletones aren't there anymore so she has no reason to still be there). Now onto Tina, boy did they do her dirty and it frustrates me every single time. It's always been so irritating that Ryan Murphy and the writers spent so much time focusing on mostly Rachel, Finn, and Mr. Shue instead for trying to flesh out the other characters, but they almost made Tina non-existent for three seasons and then when they finally give her some kind of a storyline, it's her having a weird crush on Blaine, even though she knows he's gay?!

This episode is like the epitome of everything wrong with season 4... just complete nonsense storylines with great music

I agree with you. It's ok that Blaine crushes on Sam while he's with Britney, (it's oh so cute), but Eww! how dares Tine to like him out talk about it. This fandom is very hypocritical.

I like all the songs except the ridiculous one by Kurt's new friend. Why? Was it supposed to be funny?

leslie martin

tell him, locked out of heaven and no scrubs are really great covers imo! also the "prom" is so beautiful i love the set they did

leslie martin

did yo ever consider watching the glee movie?

oh I forgot about the stolen "Baby got back" from Jonathan C ...the writers piss me off with that more then any dumb storyline. and the Puck/Kitty is just disturbing on more levels as other comments said.

They didn't steal it, they got the rights to it and used it. Jonathan Coulton was under the impression they needed his permission, they didn't. The rights to the song are owned by Sir Mix-A-Lot, that includes all cover versions and other arrangements, the Glee producers went about it the right way and did nothing wrong, it's not their fault Coulton is uninformed and doesn't know what he's talking about.
