This is what I meant by "YOU'RE GONNA FUCKIN LOVE KLAUS". The writing coupled with the actor's phenomenal portrayal/acting of the character is Legit Legendary. This is only the tip of the iceberg. Man I cant wait for you to start the originals and get introduced to that cast and storyline

Tbh Klaus is my favourite character of the vampire diaries right now, so I can't wait for the originals :D Klaus is just a very complex and interesting character in my opinion and Joseph Morgan does such a good job playing him &lt;3 Rebekah is also a great character.

My god Joseph Morgan is a gem. I liked klaus but I was always an Elijah fan because of his classy/dapper demeanor but I remember when I first started watching the originals back when it first started airing I was mesmerized at J.M's acting

Rebekah and Klaus are AMAZING characters and it is totally fair to be rooting for them at this point in the series. I am too. The “good guys” have become the bad guys in a lot of ways. Just an episode ago, Elena and Jeremy, and even Matt, who was in on this plan as well, were lamenting about killing those newbie vampires. Now, they want to kill, what, like, possibly hundreds of vampires they don’t know, just to find the cure and end Kol’s compulsion?? They could have just made a plan to dagger Kol to break the compulsion and find another way to grow the hunter’s mark but guess we’re throwing morals out the door because we’re dealing with Kol now??? Yeah, okay. I just found it a bit hypocritical when they were just censuring Damon and Klaus for their methods merely days ago. I’ve learned I will never be on team Stefan, mostly because I feel like he’s full of BS this season. He definitely deserved that punch from Damon. Damon has never “used the sire bond to his advantage” except when he asked Elena to come to him, which is something she wanted to do anyways. Stefan has been giving Damon grief for this entire season and Damon was pissed that he bled him out, so I think it makes sense that he called Stefan out like that.

In regard to Kol. He just nearly used the (real dead) white oak stake on Rebecca. He was willing to murder his sister. What other choice did they really have? Was he just going to stop trying to dismember Jeremy or compelling people to kill him so he doesn't get the hunter's curse? Klaus said in this episode that Kol had 'absconded' with his set of daggers and Rebecca refused to give them hers. So, that wasn't an option. Damon was a dick to call Stefan out like that. This just highlights another Stefan feature that I dislike though. Damon slept with Rebecca after Elena pissed him off in 3x14. He didn't hide it. He wasn't ashamed of it. Stefan sleeps with her and he doesn't want anyone to know? He always hides things because he doesn't want people to think any less of him or give up his place on the high white horse he looks down on Damon from.

I think to Kol's merit, and what Steven was saying, I'm not so sure if Kol would have actually murdered Rebekah. In terms of the dagger, didn't Klaus think the plan was to steal it from Rebekah? And I think Rebekah would have ultimately been fine with daggering Kol. At the end, she did hand it over to Stefan - if they stuck with that plan, Kol would still be out of the way, no? Sure, Damon was a dick, but he's always a dick lol I enjoy pointing out the ways in which Stefan is also frequently a dick, and I think he's been a dick to Damon this entire season, which is why I didn't mind Damon calling him out like that.

Klaus is watching over Damon because Kol stole his set of silver daggers and the only one left was the one Rebecca had. He needed Stefan to go use and manipulate her (again) into giving him the dagger.

Here is the rest: I'm not sure why Steven was on Stefan's side there at the end. I mean Damon was a dick but Stefan took it to a whole new level. When he says to Damon "You've managed to use that sire bond pretty well so far" look at Bonnie's face... even she was like WHOA dude that was too far. Insinuating Damon MADE Elena have sex with him. I really didn't expect Stefan to go there.

I actually agree with the whole omg wtf Elena and Jeremy just committed genocide. In 4x3 Stefan talks about how guilty Elena would feel if she staked Rebecca and vampires around the world would start to die. I'm not sure what was going on in the writers minds having Elena plot/plan to kill Kol and his entire vampire line. It made no sense for Elena to do something like that. It's just SOSOSO out of character and it wasn't necessary. The show could have still got to this point where Kol dies and the mark completes. I would have just put Elena and Jeremy in a life/limb situation with Kol and have them kill him to save Jeremy. Then after he was dead they could have mentioned the vampire line dying and the mark completing. Which also would have been a writing opportunity to surprise the viewers who didn't remember that a vampire line dies with the Original vampire.

Also Damon's whole "Be bad with purpose" speech is laughable and just untrue. Damon has done countless evil things for no reason. He is no better than any villain on this show
