it was a possible series finale. the show got picked up for another season last minute.

This episode is a great seasion/series finale. A perfect 10 for me, and there is so much I love about this episode. You can tell how low their budget is (bad green screens etc.), and they still pull off episodes like this. It's really impressive. Like the above commenter says, they made this as a series finale because they thought they were being cancelled. And because NBC was always on the verge of cancelling the show they HAD to make seasons end like this. They had to make endings that would be satisfactory as a series ending, while still creating something interesting going forward if they were renewed. It can't be easy making TV when that is happening, yet Chuck pulled it off every season. Something i'd like to know, though, Steven, is how you rank the seasons of Chuck so far, and what your favourite episodes would be. I am guessing your favourite is Chuck versus the Subway (since you practically gave that episode an 11), but that would be really interesting to know. Also, I always assumed they bought the Buy More because Castle is right underneath, and the Buy More has made a great cover over the years. It makes sense to me.
