Alec saved the day! Woo! And I think there were a lot of hints dropped this episode about what that ending moment with Alec and Jace is all about. You'll definitely find out soon enough but I think the Alec and Izzy conversation this episode, which Alec is trying to ignore, might be a helpful place to start. The sword is called a seraph blade.
