Lmao idk I think bcuz he wants to be the best father he can be and Emma was crying without it so he wanted to get it back to calm his baby down and give her something she loves. And I also think he went overboard bcuz them believing it was stolen. If something was stolen from you, wouldn’t u go to great lengths to get it back? So yeah I think that combined with it being his baby’s and him wanting to be the best father he can to her propelled his decisions.

I agree with you that Ben was overreacting this episode. Just because the stuffed animal has sentimental value to Emma, does not make it ok to break into someones apartment because you think they stole it.

Honestly, it kinda would have been a big deal if this mom had legitimately stolen a baby's toy. I wouldn't break into her house, but I get not dropping it, though.
