That finn scene hits different now:(

Good reaction. I always love the themed episodes of glee. This isn’t high up on my favorites just because I’m not a huge fan of west side story but they did a great job with it. I think it makes sense that Finn reacted the way he did with Rachel. He has a lot of confidence issues so it was kind of a blow for him.

Always thought this episode was a decent episode it wasn't bad but also isn't a favorite for me. I definitely feel like you are going to have some opinions about the next 2 episodes. Music-wise the episodes are great in fact my favorite cover that was done on Glee happens at the end of the next episode but storyline-wise I always thought the writers could've done better with how they handle the storyline.

Yeah I think you figured out your confusion, but just to be clear, the school musicals are a totally separate deal from the glee club. Yes, a lot of glee kids participate because they are performers, but any students can participate, and quitting the glee club does not equate to quitting the school musical. I love that "the first time" makes you think of Frozen instead of what most people think of (and is intended). That's...so pure, lol.

I’m glad that you enjoyed this episode. I honestly wasn’t sure how you would feel about the musical, but I’m glad you liked it! You should totally try watching the movie... There’s also a new film version coming out later this year where the casting is actually race-conscious, but the original film is still a classic, nevertheless. Let’s just say Blaine made a perfect Tony, Santana made a perfect Anita and Mike Chang was a great choice for Riff. Artie did a fine job directing but was totally out of line when he asked about his actors’ sexual experience. That’s why it’s called acting. Maria and Tony are in love, but Blaine and Rachel are not. There are so many better ways to get what Artie wanted out of that moment than to say that because they haven’t had sex, they can’t play the role in the right way. The Beiste and Cooter scenes were quite sweet. Her complete oblivion was funny at first, and then really sad once you realized where it came from. Can’t wait for you to react to the next episode!

I love your take on first times. It's true that it isn't the greatest experience for most people, but that we should still try to make it as great as we can. I loved that Kurt wasn't just gonna hop in bed with Blaine while he's drunk on the backseat of a car - he deserves his first time to be an intimate, great experience.

A couple points, I love Blaine, he might be my overall favorite character, but this episode he does some really shitty things. When Sebastian and Blaine are first talking in private it is clear that Sebastian is flirting with Blaine. We can tell that Blaine is aware of this by his flustered speech and his expressions. So he agrees to meet later with this same guy who is clearly hitting on him. Now at this point, perhaps he thinks Sebastian is just a flirt. There are those people who just constantly flirt with others who don't have desires to go past what some would call harmless flirting. But clearly after their second private conversation Blaine now knows that Sebastian is offering to have an clandestine affair. And while Blaine does state he doesn't want to hurt his boyfriend. He when at a gay bar, states how Sebastian is harmless, and then proceeds to dance with him through much of the night, knowing that Sebastian has ulterior motives. And he does that after he hears his boyfriend saying he doesn't like that guy. Those are extremely disrespectful things. And I suspect that Blaine never told Kurt about Sebastians intentions. This is not great behavior for trust. I remember the first gay bar I went to , and the first time I got to dance in a public venue of any. kind with my boyfriend (Kurt and Blaine have at least been to dance together at this point and had at least one social acceptable dance), and if my boyfriend spent that first time spending it out on the floor with someone else for most of the night, someone I said I didn't like, I would be pissed. I mean this is the first public place that they could safely and freely openly kiss at. That's a huge deal. Notice earlier in this season, when Kurt gives Blaine flowers, Blaine starts to lean in for a kiss, but pulls back because they are in public and it wouldn't be safe. While it does piss me off as a fan of the character, it's a great way of showing that he isn't perfect and that he does have some flaws, like all people do.

2nd point, is brought up with Dave and Kurt. And it's one that really hasn't got much attention (either during this episode or in other episodes when something similar happens). Kurt tells Dave he would have never told anyone (Outing). This isn't true. While Kurt didn't tell his classmates or Dave's family. He did tell Blaine, a person he just meet that day. He would have no legitimate way of knowing if Blaine would tell anyone else. Then to make matters more risky both of them confront Dave, on school grounds in an exterior stair well. You can see other students legs five steps higher than where they are at. That confrontation is both quiet and louder, in a public venue, where someone might have heard. Now of course Kurt didn't do this to hurt Dave, his intent was good, no question. But Outing can have life threatening consequences even when done with good intentions, or even done accidentally (like how Brittany first outed Santana on a group phone call in season one, she literally didn't realize what she was saying until afterwards, and she also was speaking publicly in a well travelled school hallway, so not only people on the phone call but several other students could have heard). And David did take note on how Santana outed Dave in a public restaurant, especially the volume she was speaking at, and that one wasn't done with good intentions. I've actually always been quite shocked that no one ever complained about Kurt telling someone he just meet, and then choose to confront him at school over it. L,G,B,T understand that outing isn't a one time only event, it can happen many, many times in ones life. It can have positive impacts he can have utterly tragic impacts. It can happen innocently or with malice. A lot of people think there is never a justifiable reason for an outing, and that it is always a huge betrayal. So I am surprised we haven't seen many comments about it. I am not one of those people. Regardless of the impact, I have always felt that a persons intent was a huge factor on how I judged what happened. And I have deliberately outed two people. One a person who was spreading HIV (this was when HIV was almost 100% fatal, and that there was no treatment), when they were aware of it, and not telling later sexual partners who he was having unsafe sex with. And a gay man, who got a girlfriend, and shortly proposed to solely so he could get a job promotion in broadcasting (he openly admitted it to his friends). He also keep secret that he frequented gay sex clubs, and never told this women he was gay (he never claimed bisexuality as a label), when confronted he did tell his fiancé that he was gay (she was my sister's best friend). Neither did I do lightly, and I tried multiple times to get those people to be honest (or at least practice safer sex), before ever going beyond that. Of course, I am treated these scenes as serious, but Glee only occasionally treats scenes as a drama, most of the time they are played off for humor. It's like Sue deliberately injuring a school nurse and a glee instructor. Both are of course horrifying events, but of course played for laughs as the show is a comedy. So any social messaging or issues that come up in the show, might not get any series discussion because they might not be from scenes that the writers wanted viewers to treat seriously.

I really would love to see you react to West Side Story

First of all, there is never an good excuse to out someone as that is taking their choice to ever come out when their ready away from them and putting them in danger. Secondly, Kurt didn't out David he told someone that he had been assaulted and threatened. Also you saying if show treats something serious as a "joke" we shouldn't be offended cause the writers didn't want us to view it as serious i'm sorry what? some social issues shouldn't be done if the writers are gonna treat it like an joke.
