I get Rory's awkwardness this episode. I'm worse! Guys try talk to me and I sit there staring at my shoes and shaking until they leave. At least Rory made conversation XD I thought the guy in the laundry room was a bit of a jerk. She wasn't asking him to marry him, she just wanted to get to know him which is kinda half the point of college. Lorelai was really childish this episode and once again took serious advantage of Luke's kindness and loyalty. I think it was a bit unprofessional of the designer (already forgot her name) to talk about Lorelai behind her back. Especially after Lorelai made it clear that she doesn't want her mom to know her business. Paris was in the wrong here. Janet is on a partial scholarship and has just as much right to exercise early in the common room as Paris does to have her craft corner there. She also shouldn't of turned off Rory's alarm without telling her first. Marty is adorably awkward. I want WAY more Lane though! We barely see her now that Rory isn't living at home.

I love the episode, your annoying is my funny it seems! Rory is a good portrait of a highly sensitive person, wich is about 15% of the population, and I relate so much to her awkwardness in dating and her overthinking and being alittle out of syntc with her suroundings! i don’t see lanes life as that bad, she has caring parents who want everything good for her, she Will be alright

I don't think Luke minds Lorelai's annoying traits. I think that's why Lorelai can 'take advantage' of his space and 'disrespect' his rules. Cuz she knows despite his grouchiness, he truly doesn't mind. It's their dynamic. She irritates him, he grouches about it, she makes a witty comment, they share flirty looks and banter.

Other Boy Reactions

I love the end scene with Rory getting rejected, it’s so real. And the guy wasn’t rude about it, he just wasn’t interested and was honest. It’s better that he was upfront than pretending he was interested just so he doesn’t hurt her feelings and then ghosts her later which is so often the case. I thought his response was refreshingly honest without being an ass about it. I also like that we didn’t get a reason for why he wasn’t interested, that was very realistic too because we almost never know why someone doesn’t like us back and there doesn’t have to be a reason. Some people just aren’t a match. I felt bad for Rory but it was just a part of life that she has been severely sheltered from and it was time she experienced what so many people experience.
