Not only was Bo-Katan a fairly significant character in Clone Wars, but Katee Sackhoff is also the one who voiced her from the beginning, so while this her first time playing her in live-action (which is just awesome to see), she's actually been playing this character for like a decade now. She may have had a couple scenes with Anakin, but she definitely knew Ahsoka pretty well. Also in Clone Wars, she started out as a member of the "Death Watch," a bunch of fundamentalist extremist Mandalorians who were really terrorists trying to get Mandalore back to its old school warrior culture ways, and she and some of her clan broke away from them due to some stuff that went down in Mandalore (long story, lol). I think it's probably safe to assume that the "Children of the Watch" that raised Mando here were probably an offshoot of that, so she was speaking from experience there.
