I agree with you on the rating of this one. A good episode but nothing too exciting happening. As far as the killer not covering his tracks, I would just chalk that up to the fact that he never imagined them finding the hidden room or knowing the history of the Old Haunt so well...thank you very much Mr. Castle. Also, the storylines involving our main characters definitely picks up towards the end of this season and will continue to the end of the series...and it is sooooo good.😉

May be an unpopular opinion, but I really liked this one. It may not continue the main storylines but it's just such a heartfelt episode. It's actually one of my favourite fillers. The ending always makes me smile.

At the final auction, Castle was holding up a paddle with the number 187 which is a shorthand and refers to the California penal code for murder (not the NY penal code though).
